Domestic Landscape Proposal (2017)

Within my home is a whole community of creatures go largely unnoticed and unacknowledged. It is only when renovating, removing boards around windows, doors or the floor that the exuberant complexity of this ecology is revealed.

The function of architraves, skirting boards and window frames is subverted much to the richness of the house. For this reason I propose buildings that celebrate domestic trim, which despite only partially fulfilling its purpose results in the creation of habitats for my microfauna friends.

Monochrome salvaged timber architectural mouldings, spider web, sawdust. Dimensions variable.
