Within suburbia water running across impermeable surfaces is a common site. Although of a high enough standard for many applications this water is almost entirely wasted. Similarly within domestic gardens concrete and asphalt surfaces inadvertently end up being watered. With a continuous flow of apparently wasted water from a sprinkler running across a concrete slab, It Won’t Grow… references such a situation and invites reflection on society's attitude towards water and its use.
