Nature’s Way is a kinetic sculpture that responds to the wind. The familiar form of a street sign is deliberately selected to create a visual pun that contrasts the artificially ordered and change resistant layout inherent within population centres with the constantly varying condition of nature. The sign’s movement alludes to the dynamism inherent in natural phenomena, whilst its swinging to all points-of-the-compass serves as a reminder that we are completely surrounded and influenced by nature even within highly regulated environments.
