Like stains in the bottom of mugs the presence of small creatures (micro-fauna) within the home can go largely unnoticed. However, their inevitable presence – facilitated by our possessions, gaps in the building structure and crumbs of food – is as much a reflection on ourselves as them. Just as human-to-human socialisation can be measured in cups of coffee, the cumulative situations depicted in Stand similarly represent the progressive development in my relationship with the more-than-human life within my home.
